Emoji TD
Emoji TD
Emoji TD is a straightforward tower defense game where every enemy and tower is represented by an emoji. Your goal is to defend your base against waves of numerical and heart-shaped enemies that split into smaller, faster versions as they take damage.
The game features six different maps, ranging from peaceful meadows to frozen mountain passes. Each map offers unique strategic challenges, such as tight corridors or long straights that reward specific tower placements. You will need to manage your gold carefully to build and upgrade your defenses before the pressure becomes too high.
Towers come with three distinct upgrade paths, but there is a catch: once you start investing in two paths, the third one is locked. For extra power, you can merge three top-tier towers into a single Mega Tower through the mutation system. It is a simple but challenging experience designed for quick sessions.
Features
- Deep Upgrade System: Each tower has multiple upgrade paths, allowing you to specialize in damage, speed, or crowd control.
- Strategic Path Locking: You can only use two of the three upgrade paths per tower, forcing you to make meaningful choices about your defense.
- Six Unique Maps: Battle across diverse environments like Dune Serpent and Circuit Rush, each with its own decorative emojis and pathing.
- Mega Tower Mutations: Combine three maxed-out towers of the same type into an all-powerful Mega Tower to handle the toughest waves.
- In-Game Wiki: A built-in reference guide automatically updates with information on every enemy and tower you encounter.
Project Note
This is a test project and one of my very first attempts at game development. I built it to learn the fundamentals of the Phaser engine and game logic. While it is a relatively small and simple game, it has been a great learning experience. I would love to hear any feedback as I continue to improve my skills and work on future projects.
AI Usage Disclaimer
I used AI tools to help with writing descriptions, fixing bugs, and handling some smaller development tasks. However, the majority of the code, game structure, and logic were created by me. AI helped support the learning process while I focused on understanding and building the core mechanics myself.
